"Iam the second owner of this car , I have little over 29.000 miles on it. The sonata has been a good car to me. I do have a squeek in the car and when I first recieved the car the radio sometimes goes in and out. My air bag light stays on. I wish the warranty was transferable (big problem with this). Over all the car is a good value.."

"I can't complain about much. The car is nice looking, well built, roomy and economical for it's size. I have just two complaints. The radio won't pull in even the most powerful Dallas stations more than 60-70 miles away. That, I can live with. My main complaint after 9,000 miles is the driver's seat. I keep wishing I had the old seat out of the 2001 Dodge Stratus I traded in. The seat bottom in the Sonata is rock hard and doesn't offer any thigh support, and the side bolsters in the seat back aren't adequate."

"I purchased this car new and am completely satisfied(limited model). I am averaging 27 mpg mixed driving good for the size of car.
There isn't any other car on the road that I could get the options that I have for 20k.
If I had to do it again now I would buy the same car."

"I won a 2008 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition and am very impressed by it in all areas. I was quite skeptical about Hyundai, but will tell you that after driving it around for 6 months, the limited edition beats both the Camry and Accord in more areas than I thought.

Drives very smooth, packs enough power to feel like you are zipping through. The leather seats and premium sound system make it even more enjoyable. The styling inside is quite upscale if you maintain it. It is more roomy than any sedan I have owned so far.

Highly recommend the limited edition."

"82 years old. This is one of the very best vehicles I have ever owned. It has been flawless. Now has 24200 miles. One of the most under rated vehicles on the road today.
I would like to give it 6 stars.!!"

"After liking the Camry in a test drive, I recalled a review comparing the Sonata to it, so went and took one out. I was very impressed with the interior room, the dash layout, and the safety features. Additionally the AC was excellent and the XM radio as standard was the clincher. I had been in an Infiniti G35 for over 4 years and the sound quality of the Hyundai was twice as good. When we got around to talking price, I gave him a rediculous offer of 16650 for an 09 Sonata GLS in slate blue(after 2k rebate) which they accepted! I've had the car for 2 weeks now and am enjoying it more. I have been on cruise @ 65 to work with AC and XM on - pure pleasure. First fill-up yielded 28.5 mpg. Very happy so far, and hardly miss the G35"

"Does everything this type of vehicle should do. Quiet, comfortable, and a pleasure to drive. Fuel milage actually exceeds what is advertised. Performs well on acceleration but could use just a tad more punch. Overall seems be an excellent vehicle for the price."

"I purchased the Hyundai Sonata, GLS 4cyl in May 2008. I am a Honda Accord EX. V6, 2005 owner. I must say that the car drives very similar to the Honda Accord. I like the fact that I do not have to see my car every few seconds, the roads are overwhelmed with Hondas.

Anyway, the car drives great, it has all sorts of safety features, it is underrated. I do wish I had splurged and got a the top of the line model. I miss not having a sunroof and leather seats. The interior is still nice; I have a beige interior in my car; however the bottom of the floor has chocolate brown carpet, which make so much more sense, than having beige. The gauges are user-friendly. I love the fact that I can use a jack to play my MP3 player through the car's stereo. It works like a charm. The standard car also has XM Radio, which is a wonderful feature to have. The car has great visibility from the inside, lots of room. It has sufficient pickup for a 4 cyl. I have no problems with the style, I have a beautiful shade of green; it is a style that will not fade easily. In other words if you buy a car because of a certain looks such as a 1990 Intreprid or a Chrysler 300, you are going to look like you are trapped in time when the makers redo the style in a couple of years.

The car ihas a good feel, it can be driven as an automatic or as a manual, which I do not have any desires to use.

The only negative things I have to say, is that the trunk should go all the way up, when you pop the trunk. I sense a bit of fishtailing when I hit a bump in the road. That may very well be the Electronic Stability Control. I felt the same way about traction on the Honda until I learned that was the car's way of helping me. Did I tell you, it is great on gas, I have cut my gas into half for commuting to work."

"Overall, a great car - comfortable, easy to drive - but so far mileage is NOT what is advertised - getting about 15/MPG on city driving - and that's with the 4 cyl. Have had the car about 2 months - just in time for the gas price spike, lucky me - and hope I see an improvement in the next few months. Also, acceleration is very vague initially, so don't plan on too many quick dives in front of ongoing traffic."

"This vehicle has been nothing but the best. I bought mine two years ago and I haven't done any major repairs but the normal maintnance. Next time my family needs a new car, we are defenitely getting a Hyundai Vehicle again.

Some of them are top choice on Consumer Report Magazine, (Elantra and Santa Fe) others are getting there (the rest of them) and I know that in the future they are going to be a lot better than Toyota, Honda and Nissan. Hyundai's quality is getting to be neck to neck with all the high quality car companies.

I do recomend any Hyundai vehicle to any body. I am getting 29mpg and my wife just purchased a 2008 Elantra and she is getting 28-29mpg in the city and about 36-39mpg in the high way.

I hope that my next car will be the BRAND NEW GENESIS if I can affort it.

Over all, HYUNDAI IS A GREATCAR."

"Although I've put less than 1000 miles on the odometer, I can honestly say this car is great. I recently averaged 30 mpg highway with the 6 cylinder, and the motor's not even broken in yet. The fit and finish are superb, the interior roomy beyond what I expected, the powertrain quiet and responsive...and the list of compliments goes on and on. Oh yeah, I almost forgot how quiet and supple the ride quality is. I plan on teaching my daughter to drive on the car - and she's only 4 years old. Speaking of which, the standard safety features are alone worth the price of the car. I stole mine: 24K out the door complete with sunroof, leather, etc., etc.,etc. Heck, I would recommend this car to enemies, not only friends! Only problem is now the "better half" wants one too."

"Our Sonata has been great. No unscheduled maintenance, nothing to worry about except putting gas in it (and who can afford THAT these days).

I use it in a courier business and I avg 28mpg with mostly town driving. Severe usage by manufacturer's standards.

If you're in the 20K range with your shopping, you MUST drive this car. Go for the limited if you can swing it, you won't regret it!"

it has been an ok car, but my last car was a ford taurus- 10 years and still going, but totaled. this car does not compare even in the first few months of being new. do not get the 4 clyinder- no pickup and bad gas milage.- not as good as I thought it would be at all."

"good reliable transportation. Warranty and dealer service excellent. Replaced motor at 23,000 miles. No cost to me and loaner car provided on the spot. Slightly lower highway mileage than advertised. 4 cylinder has no trouble in traffic on highway.
I would consider the 6 cylinder next time. They seem to get better highway mileage."
