"I love my CRV I had it for about a year and haven't had any complaints, great style,nice ride, good handling and enough power for everyday driving,fun to drive ,overall is a great vehicle for the price compare to others in that price range. my only wish is that honda would've thrown in the integrated signal mirrors like they have in Europe and Asia."

"Based on consumer reports and other sources we bought this vehicle after only driving it for 10 minutes. Big mistake. It fit our family well and my wfe liked the way it looked. Gas mileage is no where close to what was on the sticker. In 6 months it has been in the shop 12 times. It cuts off for no reason. There is a rattle they can't find.
I tried to trade it in and they said I owe $6500 more on it than it is worth. It lost 6500 in six months and it only has 8000 miles on it. This is the first non American car I have ever bought and it will be my last."

"Great car for the mom running around town with kids! Great on gas, roomy in front and back. We travel a lot and we are able to fit our suit cases, boogey boards, beach buckets, fishing poles, along with extra blankets and pillows! It is serving its purpose well. I have owned this car 1yr already and have had no mechanical issues as of yet. I am a pratical person and I love this car. It still holds its value well ."

"I bought car in August 2007. perhaps to say it is a well worth it car if you like to go from point A to point b. But how do I say this, the car is really "boring" and the car is not fast either but on the other hand this car is really good for the average family man. Carrying lots of luggage and a family might be suited for that person and I mostly likely recommend this car them."

"This was our first new car purchase and we are very happy with it. It rides nicely and comfortably. It isn't the fastest vehicle I have ever driven, but that isn't really the point with this car. We have had this car over a week and are averaging around 28 mpg. The power seat is great and makes the driving experience so much better than the EX and LX. Layout is well thought out and we couldn't be happier. Great buy!"

"Purchased a new 2008 Honda CR-V in March 2008.First problem within 6 weeks of buying the car. After 4 visits to dealership ( 4th by my husband the MALE) they finally THINK they have find the problem with the car starting correctly and the hazard lights coming on and going off by themselves! They say it is the gauge control module. Now I get to live with a car for the next ever how many years not knowing what else may be going to go wrong with it!"

"At 6'2" and 300 lbs I'm a big guy. I have found this little car to be excellent. I have driven big Fords all my life and was a little leary of the CR-V to start with. Having owned it for a year now. I am a firm believer in Honda. The seat is roomy and comfortabe with lots of leg room. There is plenty of head room to work with and the back seat if big enough for me to sit in and be comfortable. If it had a little more power I would be real happy. I have driven this car all winter in the snow and at -40 and have had no problems what so ever. My wife likes it more than our big 4 wheel drive vehicle. I am not ashamed to be seen driving around Alaska in this car. We live 2 hours from Fairbanks, and we dirve in about every two weeks in the rain or snow to the grocery store and we have not had one problem as of this date. WE LOVE OUR CR-V."

"I usually go with Honda Cars, they are built to last and there are more parts available outside the market. My mom had the previous model of the CR-V and she was quite fascinated on the performance and quality of the car. We also had a Honda SIR and both Honda cars never gave us any problem at all. So the time I was ready to buy my first car, no thinking twice, I chose the new CR-V, and all I can say is that, its one of the best choices I ever made."

"We downsized from a Volvo XC 90 because we wanted reliability & practicality, & chose a Honda because the dealer's service dept is far more reputable than our Toyota dealer & it was well-rated by consumer reviews. I must admit, though, I miss some of the perks & polish of the bigger car (smoother ride and memory in driver's seat, room in back, back seats that fold down flat). That aside, I find the vehicle comfortable to drive as I am a shorter person. The CRV turns and handles very well. I can easily reach the handle on the back door to close. Overall exterior design is sharp, especially with side body molding, roof rack, splash guards. I like the instrument panel and the controls on the steering wheel. The car heats and cools down quickly. Love the heated seats. I find the middle console to be poorly designed & quite useless, & the armrest small. The cubby holes for things like a cell are located too low to be useful. I like the front floor space...convenient for purse. I do not like how the back seats fold down (or up actually).. The surface is not flat which I did not think I would mind but do. We only had 2 large dogs when we purchased the vehicle, & did not need to fold up the back seats then. We now have 3 large dogs that can fit in the back, but, then, there then is no room for anything else! The strap that stabilizes the upturned seats is not always reliable. It took at least 5000 miles before I started getting decent town mileage (25). On the road I have averaged 29 mpg. MPG drops at least 20% in cold weather. The one thing I wish the vehicle had is a stereo like by husband's Accord EXL w/ V-6. This is the first NEW vehicle I have had in 35 years, and I thought I had done the homework and would be more thrilled with it. It is just OK/good. I accept some responsibility for that. I thought I was ready to compromise on some things I have always liked in a car. One bit of advice..DO NOT BUY Honda's all-season floor mats. They scuff easily & do not clean up well."

"We have owned Hondas since 1979. We love the new body style and the 17" wheels to be able to view traffic more safely. We cannot understand the problems with mileage that has been reported. We have owned our CRV for 18 months, have driven it over 22,000 miles, during which we have averaged about 25mpg. We have taken 2 trips of about 1,500 miles each, which included significant mountain driving, and the rest of the miles have generally been "in town". We have been very impressed with the tire pressure monitoring which I believe will save many $ in tire replacement. The monitoring is very accurate and reliable. This is a perfect vehicle for a couple. The back seat clearance is "skimpy.""

"We have had ours for about 1.5 years. Already have 40,000 miles on it. We love the Cr-V. We have a 1 year old son and a 120 lb Akita. The three of us and the dog have gone on 7 hours trips and had more than enough room. I am 6'5", and i fit well, with plenty of space behind me. I have averaged 29 mpg on the highway, but generally speaking it gets about 26 mpg driving to work and back. Seats can be rather hard after about 5 hours driving, but overall not bad. This is our favorite vehicle ever and would love to keep it forever. No problems so far after 40,000 miles.
P.S. Would definately recommend the rubber rear mat for the cargo area. Saves many hours of trying to clean dog hair, sand, dirt etc. out of the carpet."

"This is my 2nd Honda but my first CRV. I bought this car before I had my daughter because I had a Civic before and I needed more room. I wish there was a little more room though in the back because putting a rear-facing carseat in the back is slightly difficult. I wouldn't buy anything other than a Honda. They are the most reliable cars out there!"

"Version: 2007 CR-V LX (2WD)
Pros: incredibly spacious (rear-facing baby seat friendly)!! acceleration, handling, heating/cooling, button layout-functionality, brakes, wide opening doors.
Cons: build quality, firm ride comfort, seat comfort, long-reach for radio controls, hard plastics, sub-par headlight range, finicky TPMS.
Overall: I really love the spaciousness of this vehicle for rear passenger room -- its fantastic -- even better than larger size rivals. However, I am disappointed with its initial build quality (e.g., rear bumper cover pops out of its seam; plastic cover on front interior pillar does not fit properly). Also, I find ride quality sub-par. Seats are short and very firm, and I find it quite difficult to find a comfortable driving position. My butt is always sore after a long drive.
Overall, I recommend the LX CR-V, but with hesitation. I really love the spaciousness of this vehicle, but the ride comfort is a sticking point with me as well as initial quality. I regret not checking out higher-end versions of this vehicle to see if they would have been more to my liking."
