"I purchased this vehicle new in 2005 and have had no problems. We change the oil every 3000 miles and have put 60,000 miles on in three years. I highly recommend this vehicle. Ford should have kept the wagon in the lineup."

"Reliable, energy efficient, sleek and cool lights in the back that light up like a Christmas Tree. Great for tailgaters! Only problem has been with the center armrest detaching continually. Maint is a breeze!"

"I bought my Focus brand new and loved it, until we had a baby and it is now way too small. It's extremely reliable - I've never had any problems at all and I love the way it looks. Very cute car for one or two passengers, but beyond that it is cramped. The trunk is huge, so I'm not sure why some of that space wasn't used in the car itself. Overall, it's a great little car."

"We bought our 2003 Ford Focus in 2005. Within 1 month the A/C broke down. In 6 months, it broke down again, and 2 years later, again! The Steering column also locked up and they had to drill through the key hole to fix it. The manufacturer's battery sprung a leak one year later. Now our electrical is acting up. We tried replacing the fuse and the bulbs and still no low headlights! I bought this car because it looked pretty and was to be a great economy car. It has cost us more money in repairs than it is worth!"

"Very nice if you want a basic wagon. I have owned mine for 3 years now. Not many problems with it. MPG is great about 30 for hwy. Repairs are low, the only problems with mine are the back windows will not go down and the washer fluid will not pump. other then that its a good car."

"I bought a 2001 Focus for my daughter two months ago. We have sunk almost $600 in it. But the buttom line is this, she was hit in the back and the car rolled and she was able to walk away. Only minor scrapes and bruise. The seat belt saved her life. God was watching over her. But I was amazed that the car held up in the roll over. It was totaled. But we will be looking for another one."

"A piece of JUNK, lemon lawed the first Focus, a 2001, for water leaking into passenger side floor. Dealer could not find how or why it leaked. Replaced with a 2003 ZTS, this piece of JUNK has had all it motor mounts replaced, the A/C has a slow leak, the drivers window failed to close completely, and the valve gasket failed. Along with being noisey, hard riding, and uncomfortable. It's tied for worst new car I've owned along with the 1980 LTD."

"for the price an excellent little car. cons* could be a bit quieter but hey not a Cadillac seats could be cushier again not a Cadillac. back seating a bit cramped pros* adjustable height on drivers seat very nice very roomy front plenty of head room cargo area very spacious cargo area huge for a little car with back seats folded down. handles very nicely very sure footed. steering very responsive. steers on a dime. parks in small spaces like a dream. gas mileage is quite good(does diminish noticeably using AC). power not too bad for a little car but enough when I need it. **if you want luxury buy a Cadillac. If you want power buy a mustang. If you want something reliable, inexpensive and good on gas that is fun to drive buy the Focus."

"The perfect car for city living in Chicago. Small on the outside and comfortable on the inside. I can park almost anywhere, get pretty good gas mileage, and it doesn't look too bad either. The car is super reliable and even if something did go wrong it's inexpensive to repair and maintain. Not to mention the car's got go. Step on the gas and you may be surprised by the pick up. This is my second Focus and although I was considering a move to another type of Ford, the new Focus looks to be the best yet. Ford is really making strides in American-made vehicles."

"I purchased a 2007 ford focus se hatchback in October of 2006. Had problems with the hatchback squeaking. After the first rainfall after purchasing it, I noticed water leaking into the hatchback. Took it back to the dealer three times before it was fixed right. After another heavier rainfall, I noticed water leaking into the floor board on the drivers side. Took it back twice and they still could not find where it was leaking from. Traded it in for a 2008 Focus SES coupe and could not have been happier. No water leaks. Havent had problems with 2008 and have owned it for more than six months now. I would not recommend buying an older focus because i found that the water leaks are common."

"We bought our little wagon new and have enjoyed it very much. Very comfortable riding and fun to drive. Back seats fold all the way down and gives you pleanty of room for carring most anything you want to carry. Comfortable for 4 people to ride. Very reliable. We have not had any trouble with this car, and it gets arounf 34 mpg. Don't understand why they quite making the wagon. I would buy a brand new one today if they still make them."

"I have had my focus for eight years...bought it used. I have never been stranded...never had problems with the engine. The only problems I have had have been in the frame...usually in the wheel systems. After 95,000 miles...she's still going strong."

"This is a good quality inexpensive car. It gets good gas mileage, I can fit my bicycle in the back, and it handles and performs very well with the manual transmission. I can scream around corners and pass other cars safely. The ergonomics are good and I haven't had any trouble mechanically -other than doing routine maintenance, the only thing that died prematurely was the cruise control at 90,000 miles. I have 108,000 miles and plan to get at least 150,000."
