"I have a 08 Honda Accord Ex-L V6 which I bought for 30k and 500 miles. The car performs and handles GREAT. It really does move, turns on a dime, and stops quick. As many owners have found, the seats are very uncomfortable. Honda should have made the seats a bit softer. I drive a little fast, so I don't get the best gas mileage, but with the "eco" system, it probably gets decent gas mileage(when you're not stomping on the gas petal) The interior and exterior styling is stunning, I love how much room you feel like you have and the dashboard layout. I didn't understand why it didn't have memory seats, xenon headlights, or rain-sensing wipers which are available on vehicles for much cheaper. Other than that, the car drives great, looks great, just needs to nick a few small problems. And the road noise, which many other owners have noticed as well."

"I traded my 07 Grand Prix in for and 08 Accord. After 8000 miles I have a number of interior rattles. Will have the dealer take a look shortly. For anyone with back issues. It took 2 weeks for my back to adjust to the firm/rock hard seat compared to the Grand Prix. The mirrors are to small. The mileage is great. Average about 28-30city/highway I drive about 3,500 per month...which is the reason I traded. The Grand Prix aveage was 19.7. Overall this is a great car. My main issue is the rattles and the uncomfortable seats. In due time you will get use to the seats. Rattles..well? You would think a $20,000 plus car would have the auto headlights on feature. Not this one. That's being a little on the cheap side if you ask me."

"Headlights dim every time the a/c compressor cycles...Honda says it's normal.I don't think so. This is an accident waiting to happen as truck think you are flashing them the clear sign to come over into your lane after a pass. Seat are too firm, accessories are hard to access. Decent gas mileage and looks good. Honda Corp no help with the headlight issue they say it's normal."

"We have the 2008 EX V-6 in white diamond pearl. I love the new style! We get a lot of compliments. We originally looked at a used 2006 accord, but when they rolled out the new roomier, peppier model, we had to have it! We like the economy feature (where you only use cylinders needed). However, my husband does complain about the transmission. My only complaint is the road noise and I am concerned about the paint quality. We already have a couple of chipped areas in front. I was hoping they had improved the paint since 2006 (it had a lot of chips). Honda has made many improvements through the years...wish they would improve the road noise and paint. It looks like a luxury car. With a few more options, it could be! It gets great gas mileage (as promised) for the power it delivers. I love the way it drives. We were looking for safety and reliability and to be honest....looks. I'd say we got it all."

"I extensively test drove the car before making the decision which brand/model to choose, comparing it with a camry se-v6, avalon, infinity g35, lexus es-350. The Accord ( EX-L v6 as tested ) has a rather unsettled, bumpy ride on a highway at speeds between 40 and 55 mph or more, offering little comfort. Very uncomfortable and hard front seats only add to the problem. I can't imagine myself driving this car for longer than an hour - the back will suffer a lot and driver's fatigue is inevitable too. It doesn't make an impression of a solidly built car on me either, though the trim inside is OK. The body of the vehicle is oddly shaped - love it or hate it design."

"I'm very disappointed with this car as far as MPG and speed up a hill. As far as looks, the interior is nice, even the exterior is nice, however, I'm disappointed in the performance of this car. I have the 2008 4 clinder Accord with Navi. I have to press the gas hard to get it up the hill (burning more gas). And the car is loud, you can also hear wind noise on the highway. The salesman told me they will fix the minor noise problem, plus a scratch on the car but haven't yet. I have been to the Honda dealer just about every week since I purchased because the car steering wheel was shaking when I would get up 45. The steering wheel still shakes a little not as much as before. But now I feel like the steering wheel is harder to turn than before. The car is nice looking but not good on performance. Look at other cars before you buy this car."

"Before this 2008, I owned a 2003 V6 EXL 4dr. I love it, but this 2008 is the best one ever. My 6'3" son in law can sit in the back seat & his knees don't touch the front seat back. Plenty of room in the trunk. The center dash is somewhat busy with all the controls, but using the steering wheel controls makes it easier. I sure wouldn't stop from buying another just because of this. I have people stop me to say that from certain angles the car looks like a BMW, or a Lexus or similar higher priced car. Love the pep & response of new engine & am especially enjoying the added size outside & inside."

"Having owned both 2005 and 2006 Accord EXL's, I find some things not as good in the new one. The power driver's seat does not tilt forward enough for short people. I bought the car for my wife but she could not get comfortable enough and has gone back to the 2006 Accord. The passenger seat is too low and should have some sort of manual height adjustment (I know that the V-6 has a power passenger seat but I did not want a V-6). The storage pockets in the doors now allow water bottles to fall when the car is in motion. The last Accords had stops to keep this from happening. The car is very nice otherwise(better than the last generation) but the seat problem will preclude me from buying another unless it is resolved. I have owned 6 new Hondas or Acuras since 2000 and hope to stay with Honda if they can rethink these problems."

"I have owned a 2008 LX base model since December 07 and have only 3900 miles on it. I carefully wash and wax this Accord with clean microfiber towels and Gold Class paste wax every 3 weeks. I even clean the tailpipe and underneath. It's hard to get a true gauge of this car's reliability since I baby it so much and drive it so little.
However, I have a feeling that if I didn't exert such care for it, this vehicle would rattle, and fall apart quickly. It's not as well made as a higher-priced vehicle. If you can spend an extra $5000, I would get a entry-luxe instead."

"I love this car. Did not opt for the V6, and I am very happy with the power anyway. 190 HP moves just fine. The leather seats are not as plush as I could have hoped, but the interior is darn near perfect. Drives like a sports car, with all the smooth feel and comfort you would expect from the Accord. Overall, this is the best Honda I have ever owned (it is my 6th). Well worth the jump up from the Civic which we also tested. Replaces my 1997 Accord, which I drove for 9 years and just sold for 1/3 the price I paid for it after putting on 150,000 miles. You just have to love the Honda re-sale value!"

"I would not recommend this car to anyone with gas prices being so high.I have the v-6 which is rated at 19/29 mpg. I have yet to get more than 20 mpg driving 1/2 freeway/1/2 city on every tank. Car has Variable Cylinder Management, which is supposed to help the mileage by running on 3,4 or 6 cylinders, as needed. I make a point of trying to run in the "eco" mode (fewer than 6 cyl) more often than not, and my BMW 530i that I just turned in from lease got better mileage than this Honda. If you are looking to save money on gas, this isn't the car to buy."

"I traded in my pick-up for the Accord EXL (Navigation system) vehicle because I needed better gas mileage for work. I would've gone for the Honda luxury-line (Acura), but with premium gas for most of the vehicles, that wasn't an option. The style (inside and out) of this vehicle mimicks that of a luxury vehicle, but is priced spectacular for what you get. I haven't owned a Honda before, but so far, I'm impressed. I have yet to see reliability and mileage, but I have a good feeling since I did a lot of research.
The only complaint are the seats. It's quite rough on my back...and I'm only 30 years old. I've tried to adjust the lumbar and back position, but my back is still soar, even after two weeks. With the amount of driving, I hope to get used to it, but it's a little rough. Also, the temperature controls should be better positioned...keep them closer together and all on driver side. The mode and a/c control are on passener side...strange! Other than that, it's all good."

"I traded an 05 Accord LX for my new model, and it is improved in almost every way. I now am driving an LXP and appreciate the power drivers seat. Also, the brakes are much improved, going to 4-wheel disc. The old model had extremely touchy pedal feel, making them difficult to control, especially in parking lots. The steering feeling is also improved as is the ride and overall level of refinement. They have done a good job making a larger vehicle still feel like a Honda! I have had the car less than a week, but these are some of my initial impressions."

"I recently bought an 08 Accord Ex-L sedan, and I feel like its the best vehicle I have ever owned. The fit and finish of this car is superb, the doors sound solid when you close them and the interior has nice tight fitting panels. No bumps or rattles on this car. I have two small children and both of their car seats fit perfectly, I'm 6'1 and I can move the driver seat all the way back and still have space to go between the seat and car seat in the back. There is also an access panel from the rear seat to the trunk that my wife loves to put her purse through for safe keeping. The power of the 4 cyl is awesome, this car was an upgrade from a 4 cyl Focus and I have to say I never expected this much power from a 4 cyl. When the VTEC kicks in at higher rpms this car is gone!!"
