"Everything I hoped this vehicle would be and more! I found the gas mileage to be exactly as advertised. 37mpg after 4 hours on the highway averaging 55-65 mph. (About 34 mpg averaging 60-70mph.) City driving was 42 mpg. Nice to have enormous gas tank for car its size: 20 gallons! Trunk space a bit lean, but high ceiling allows you to fit more than what you originally might think. Good comfort, even sitting in the back seat. Don't have any of the available creature comforts such as moonroof, Bluetooth, etc., but base model has everything that I really need and then some. $2350 tax credit on this vehicle now and in the near future certainly not to be ignored. Highly recommend!"

"I have been researching vehicles for months trying to decide between the altima and the camry. As soon as I test drove an altima I FELL IN LOVE. Every other test drive I did was a disaster. You gotta drive one!! You won't be satisfied with anything else (in it's class) afterward."

"Can't go wrong with an Altima Hybrid. The best styling of any mid-size sedan (IMHO) and a great value. Not to mention, much better than average fuel economy. My MPG is right inline with the EPA estimates. I've owned the car for about 2 months and love it. Very larger interior - I was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of front and rear leg room. My only knock is it is a little heavy with the batteries in the rear end and it shows when cornering or braking/accelerating. Other than that, you can't go wrong. $2350 tax credit, another $1500 state (Oregon), it didnt' make sense to buy a gasoline Altima. Toyota's technology with Nissnans styling - a sure winner."

"Looked at small SUV's and one car-Altima. It looks good and drives good. Mileage ranges from mid-20's to over 30 mpg with the 4 cylinder - plenty of power. CVT is really smoothe. Have SL package with heated leather seats and power driver seat. Dual AC works well. Fit and finish are excellent. Keyless entry and push button starting are very convenient. Owner maintenance appears to be easy. Many features that are only in more expensive cars. Demand for model was high so price was only "fair.""

"I am getting just over 20 mpg in a 2008 Nissan Hybrid. i started out with 34, but it kept going down. 2 Nissan dealers insist there is nothing wrong, but 22 is a far cry from the 35 estimated."

"I have owned this vehicle for over a year now. I bought it in Alaska and drove it shortly after buying it to Savannah Georgia. I have had no mechanicle problems. I get great mileage on the highway even at high speeds. The car is comfortable enough for the long trips and has excellent handling. I would recommend this car to friends great car."

"I am very satisfied with my choice in the Altima.
It is very comfy, runs great, gas mileage is close to advertised.
All the gadgets are where you would expect them to be.
Roomy, even in the back.

My only complaint is the rain guard for the sunroof makes loud noise. Appears air gets under and causes loud whistle. This keeps me from opening the sunroof at high speeds, unless my upgraded sound system is blaring...."

"I started looking for a new vehicle right after a got my first post college job. I test drove everything under the sun and decided on the Nissan Altima Coupe. It has all the power you would ever need out of communter car and looks that you expect out of something far above its price class. It is a comfortable ride and showcases several very cool features like pushbotton start, proximity remote and CVT transmission. It looks very similar to the Inifiniti G35 and if you get the 3.5 V6 option, it basically is. The best value on the market right now."

"I read the review regarding grinding brakes.
I have the 2007 ALT 2.5S. Note that I to have had experience in the grinding brakes and also rear brake noise. They replaced rear brakes and hardware (defective). Ask your servce advisor to research their data a little more thouroughly. the grding noise does exist, one of the Tech's rode with me and heard it, they are replacing all front brakes and CALIPERS. This is been happening since new I now have 17,000 miles! Be sure you get the quality service you deserve for your vehicle, tell them to check for bullitan's."

"I was looking for a new car and test drove the honda's and toyota's but fell in love with this car. I have the S class with the convience plus package (with sunroof) I love it, it has all the features I want on it. Even my husband is jealous of the car and the price I got for it! The only downside is the seats, they could be a little more comfortable but overall I love it!"

"I have had my Altima 2.5S for about 5 months now. I bought a used 2007 model in March of 2008.
This car looks great, drives great, and gets excellent gas mileage. I get about 32-34 miles on the highway and about 23-25 in town.
I do wish that I had bought the SL package instead (would be nice to have leather and moonroof) but the S really has everything that I need. Only complaint is squeaky brakes at low speeds. I took it back to the dealership and they told me that was "normal" on this model car. I don't know if I buy that though."

"The car is wonderful on gas. It takes regular 87 octane so you shouldn't have a problem filling it up every week! The inside is nice with the cup holder that adjust for supersized cups, along with the keyless entry feature. The only down side is the base model doesn't have much style to it. But you got to love the dual exhaust coming out the back"

"I purchased this car in Feb 2007 and five months after I purchased this car I started having major problems. The seats vibrate so bad it seems as if the engine is about to fall out of the car. I had defective motor mounts, gasket, and exhaust mandifold. This car is a living nightmare. If you are deciding to purchase a Nissan product and you have read this message before you have went to the dealership, consider this a blessing. PLEASE! PLEASE! Donot buy this car. It is a lemon and you will find yourself in the same situation as I am, very disatisifed. The purchase of the car is a true nightmare and the customer service department at the Nissan corporate office is no help. Please save yourself the headache and DONOT purchase a Nissian Product."

"I spent about a year shopping for a new car. I gave the Altima a chance because a friend of mine works at a Nissan Dealership. I'm glad I did because I ended up getting the Altima 2.5 SL model and have no regrets. It handles awesome. The turning radius is nice & tight and it handles just hugs the turns. It drives so smoothly I sometimes lose track of how fast I'm going on the roads that I use to think were in horrible shape. Another plus to this car is the comfort, I'm a heavy set person and this car is comfortable. I ran into problems on many other cars that the seats seemed to all be designed for skinny people. My father owns a Mercedes Benz C280 and is impressed with this car and how it drives, the comfort and space. It handles just like his car does. This is also my first brand new car that I have owned that hasn't had to go back to the Dealership for sometime of repair or adjustment in the first few weeks of owning it. My first trip back will be for my first oil change."

"I HAVE DRIVEN THIS CAR OVER 20,000 MILES IN JUST OVER A YEAR. IS EXCEPTIONALLY ECONOMICAL ON GAS DUE TO CVT TRANSMISSION. IT GETS BETTER GAS MILEAGE THAN MY WIFES SENTRA. YOU WOULD EXPECT A POWER LOSS DUE TO BEING A 4 CYLINDER BUT I FEEL IT IS QUICKER AND MORE RESPONSIVE THAN THE 6 CYL TOYOTA I TRADED IN. SEATS COULD BE A LITTLE MORE COMFORTABLE. A WEIRD ANGLE AND HARDNESS. OVERALL A GREAT FUN CAR TO DRIVE"

"I've had my 2007 2.5 S for 18 months now and it has almost 17,000 miles. This is my second Altima. I'm averaging about 25 MPG around town and 32 on the highway. This car is flawless. There is more standard equipment, power, manueverability and value packed into this family sedan than any other car in it's class. Camry, Accord and all the others wish they could be an Altima. Find a rental and rent it for a week. You'll buy one!"

"I bought my Nissan Altima 2.5 S Coupe in February, and it has been the best purchase I have ever made.
Date of delivery happened to interfere with a huge snow storm; the car handled amazingly in the snow!
Definitely recommend the 2.5 4-cylinder over the 3.5 V6 engine if you're looking for good fuel efficiency. Locally, I get about 24 mpg with a 4-cylinder engine."
